Per praticare la lingua italiano, cominciavo leggere molti tipi di libri e website in italiano. Un libro ho comprato due mesi fa é Harry Potter e la pietra filosofale. Quando cominciavo leggere, era molto difficile ma credo che nel futuro capiscò più e più. Credo che posso leggere tutto senza un dizionario se pratico molto.
Allora, capitolo 1 di libro 1!
Per questo esercizio, scriverò tutto le parole non capisco nel tavolo che si chiama 'vocabulario nuovo'. Quando sara stato completo, tutto le parole nel tavolo aggiungerò alla mia programma Anki con una foto per aiutare e senza parole inglese.

Il signore e la signora Dursley, di Privet Drive numero 4, erano orgogliosi di poter affermare che erano perfettamente normali, e grazie tante. Erano le ultime persone al mondo da cui spettarsi che avessero a che fare con cose strane o misteriose, perché sciocchezze del genere proprio non le approvavano.
Mister and Missus Dursley of Number 4 Privet Drive were proud to affirm that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. They were the last people in the world from whom you'd expect to deal with things strange or mysterious, because they just did not approve of such foolishness.
Il signor Dursley era direttore di una ditta di nome Grunnings, che fabbricava trapani. Era un uomo corpulento, nerboruto, quasi senza collo e con un grosso paio di baffi. La signora Dursley era magra, bionda e con un collo quasi due volte più lungo del normale, il che le tornava assai utile, date che passava gran parte del tempo ad allungarlo oltre la siepe del giardino per spiare i vinci. I Dursley avevano un figlioletto di nome Dudley e secondo loro non esisteva al mondo un bambino più bello.
Mr. Dursley was the manager of a business called Grunnings that made drills. He was a man (who was) fat, brawny, almost without a neck and with a fat moustache. Mrs. Dursley was thin, blonde and had a neck almost twice as long as normal, which was very useful, as she spent a large part of her time stretching it over the hedge of the yard to spy on the neighbors. The Dursleys had a little boy named Dudley and in their opinion there existed no baby in the world more beautiful.
Possedevano tutto quel che si poteva desiderare, ma avevano anche un segreto, e il loro più grande timore era che qualcuno potesse scoprirlo. Non credevano che avrebbero potuto sopportare che qualcuno venisse a sapere dei Potter. La signora Potter era la sorella della signora Dursley, ma non si vedevano da anni. Anzi, la signora Dursley faceva addirittura finta di non avere sorelle, perché la signora Potter e quel buono a nulla del marito non avrebbero potuto essere più diversi da loro di cosí. I Dursley rabbrividivano al solo pensiero di quel che avrebbero detto i vicini se i Potter si fossero fatti vedere nei paraggi. Sapevano che i Potter avevano anche loro un figlio piccolo, ma non lo avevano mai visto. E questa era un'altra buona ragione per tenere i Potter a distanza: non volevano che Dudley frequentasse un bambino di qual genere.
They had everything you could wish for, but they also had a secret, and they greatly feared there was someone who would discover it. They didn't believe that they could bear anyone to come to know the Potters. Mrs Potter was the sister of Mrs Dursley, but they had not seen each other in years. On the contrary, Mrs Dursley even pretended she didn't have a sister, because Mrs Potter and her good-for-nothing husband couldn't be more different from them. The Dursleys shuddered at the very thought of what the neighbors would say if the Potters were actually seen in the neigborhood. They knew that the Potters also had a little son, but they had never seen him. And this was a good reason to have the Potters at a distance: they didn't want Dudley to be familiar with a boy of that kind.
